The Cure for Regret; a Mixed Metaphor

Sometimes I think we are mostly pre-determined. Like I keep making the same mistakes over and over, in different circumstances. We think we create our reality by making constant decisions amongst endless choices, but in reality we follow the script, like twins separated at birth.

When we're born we are data. In the end, we are like processed information, processed by interaction with others and our environment. We are 99.9% robotic, and 0.1% existential creativity. But you can't savor the creativity, because it's all mixed up with the other 99.9%. So savor the whole thing, or savor nothing at all.

a New wxGlade Tutorial by Dimitri Pater of Serpia Makes Learning GUI Programming using Python Easy

I just got back from a business trip to Germany and was pleasantly surprised to find an email from Dimitri Pater announcing his brand new online tutorial covering wxGlade. It looks excellent, and I have added it to the Tutorials Page of this web site, bringing the total to 86 online Pythonic related tutorials linked to from that page.

Dimitri's web site Serpia is full of good Pythonic material and other interesting stuff. Recommended!

Meanwhile, I am working away behind the scenes on more AskMerlin and Decision Analysis CGI scripts, and hopefully by Christmas will have some good new stuff posted. And for after that, I now have a whole new idea for a new direction to add to the site. Stay tuned...
