Thed Restaurant

The rain fell down and made me wet
As I stood outside the restaurant
And stared into the window at comradery.
I longed to share the wine and revelry
But could not spare the change without regret.

A warm fire, a hearth, and friends
Are to be cherished time and time again,
But still the drizzling rain is kind
And wet skin, warm memories and rain
Bring back other times, and hearths, and fires.
