To tread the path of love one must believe,
It takes a leap of faith to be born again,
You must believe in something to be saved,
Even if belief is in belief itself.
What counts is not the dogma but the way,
So, why all the different dogmas?
Because we are not animals you see,
Because with no beliefs we are just monsters.
You must believe in life to be alive,
You must believe in meaning to have hope,
You must believe in purpose to have a soul,
You must believe in love to be a human.
So, if you really need a dogma,
Please choose a kinder, gentler one,
And just believe and keep on going
Believe and work your miracles slow and sure.
